Chapter 10: Only girls can

Last year i made a decision.
that decision was to paint my fingernails. and the reaction i was met with from a small minority of people was astonishing! ‘only girls can do that’
‘what is he trying to tell us’
‘attention seeker’

equality is a topic and moral i hold very close to my heart. being raised by my mother who was as good (if not better) than having two parents, i knew from a young age there was absolutely no advantage to be gained from my gender.

the ‘status quo’ that only girls wear nail varnish is a very minor example of how far behind certain sector of the world are. ‘i am not free while any woman is unfree, even when her shackles are very different from my own’
